Epoxy dining table with 3D effect SPALTED DESERT
Epoxy dining table impresses with its classic colors and interesting combination of materials. The 3D effect is created by transparent resin on the top and black on the bottom. The wood from which the top is made is also noteworthy – it is a solid beech board called “spalted beech”.
Spalting is an extremely unique type of wood staining. It occurs when fungi colonize wood and extract nutrients from it, leaving dark dotted and lined patterns. Interestingly, this process takes 2-3 years.
The natural shades of brown are broken by the timeless black color in the form of colored resin. Moreover, the resin on the top is transparent, which further emphasizes the original character of the furniture. It allows, among other things, to admire the interior of the table. Thanks to a 3D effect resembling a water surface.
A table made of epoxy resin will work primarily as a decorative addition to the interior. However, its functionality cannot be ignored. The durability of the furniture is also influenced by the frame called “spider”.
